The days and nights in Baltimore are definitely heating up! Although some of us can't help but bake in all of this sunshine, it seems that this bag, and others like it, can't get enough of the summer sun. It's bags like this that make our jobs easier. We can only hope that all of the BIT in Baltimore stay out in the open for us to see.

Guest BIT: Maryland Ave & W 26th St

We've got a friend in Danielle! Today's BIT is brought to you by the numbers 8 and 9 and the letter E. Danielle spotted this bag keeping watch over a vacant parking lot in northern Baltimore, making very good use of its lofty position. What a great photo - framed by the blue sky and very Baltimoresque warehouse. We can only hope that we have a regular Guest BIT photographer on our hands with this gal!

Guest BIT: Beaver Dam Rd & Warren Rd

Where better to find bags aloft in trees (and bushes and power lines) than the Baltimore County Landfill? Cruising the streets in Timonium, this submission comes to us courtesy of Mike, a new BIT reader. Many may see the landfill as an eyesore, but Mike saw an obvious beauty in the wind-blown landscaped surroundings. Mike is obviously pro-wind and pro-bag, and we believe that the residents of this gorgeous Baltimore County community must be as well.

Guest BIT: Oh, Say Can You See?


Michelle Thompson sends along this fine specimen with hints of Americana:

On Saturday afternoon, April 21, this lovely bag was found flying high, just like the flag, at Fort McHenry. It was a beautiful day and I guess it just felt like hanging out at the birthplace of the Star Spangled Banner. I'm sure, in the not too distance future, this bag will be consumed by the eventual spring growth on the tree, but I'm sure it will endure. It's what you might call a Revolutionary Bag!

How appropriate would be if it were a raven in this photo... but alas, it is only a crow. Regardless of the bird's species, it is apparent that the bag and the bird are both at home in the branches of this small sapling. Isn't nature grand?
