BIT is indeed honored to have been featured in Laura Vozzella's Sun column yesterday. Of course, it was only a matter of time before the MSM would start to embrace our righteous cause.
New Orleans has its "Mardi Gras" trees adorned with multi-colored beads tossed and tangled by inebriated revelers. Baltimore has its own version of the trees...filled with the discarded plastic bags so thoughtfully tossed by our locals. A real statement.
I think I know what you're trying to say, however, it's not the locals who have thoughtlessly discarded the bags, but rather the wind in its infinite child-likeness (very Zen, if you ask me) gently wafts them up into the air, where they maneuver gracefully, floating fancifully (how poetic), until a tree branch decides to save it from a life of uncerainty. Then the bag has a real purpose.
Bagsintrees.com is a website dedicated to showcasing the beauty of the omnipresent plastic accessories that adorn the trees of Baltimore, MD.

"John Waters isn't the only fucked up thing from Baltimore."
- Windy City Times
"There's just something compelling about the blog, just as there is something compelling about a white bag tangled in a tree."
- Bel Air News & Views
"You'll find no litterbug-bashing here, just photos of trashy trees and accolades that read like a visitors guide."
- Laura Vozzella, The Baltimore Sun
